Students go above and beyond what is expected of them in science class.

S - Satisfactory

Students are overall “doing what is expected”. Students consistently: follow directions, listen to the teacher, participate in labs, experiments, and discussions, etc.

NI - Needs Improvement

Students do not consistently “do what is expected”. They have one or more of the following:

  • Behavior incident or referral written

  • Constant classroom disruption

  • Lab incidents

  • Behavior incident during any extra-curricular activity. (Kicked out of a seminar, behavior incident during a science field trip)

U - Unsatisfactory

Students exhibit trends of not doing what is expected of them. This might look like:

  • Trend of lab incidents

  • Consistent trend of negative behavior

  • Consistent trend of classroom disruption

  • Inability/unwillingness to follow directions
