8th Grade Trip
About
AstroCamp is located in the San Jacinto Mountains near the town of Idyllwild, two hours east of Los Angeles, California. This beautiful 80-acre campus is found on the edge of a mountain meadow surrounded by pine, oak, and manzanita. Our facilities and labs offer state of the art equipment for exploring science and the natural world. Students and chaperones are housed in comfortable dorms and meals are served in our lodge-style dining hall.
Under state law and SMMUSD policy, a field trip is not authorized if any student would be excluded from participation because of a lack of sufficient funds. Consistent with the “free school guarantee” and applicable law, no child will be denied participation in the field trip because of an inability to pay the cost of the field trip. If you have any questions or concerns about the cost of/payment for this trip, please feel free to contact me immediately.
